Throughout the week, more than 600 people (patients, visitors and professionals) took part in the awareness-raising campaign on care safety at La Casamance.
The Quality/Risk Management team and care unit managers were on hand to discuss patient safety issues. The Casamance Goose Game was very popular with users who passed through the hall, and provided a fun way of reminding professionals about patient rights, the medication circuit, the quality and risk management approach, identity monitoring, infectious risk, etc.
An awareness-raising stand with an INFO / INTOX game was set up to inform visitors and professionals about patients' rights: trusted third party, advance directives, access to medical records, privacy... all these topics were discussed with our teams!
The pharmacy department put the spotlight on antibiotics, with a fun workshop featuring a balloon game on antibiotic resistance and a quiz on the correct use of antibiotics. A serious game on a tablet with an awareness-raising video was much appreciated by the care teams.
A new feature this year: cybersecurity! The IT department and an external service provider were on hand to discuss data protection and IT security. An online awareness campaign entitled "Can you recognise phishing attempts? was offered to all visitors, along with a virtual reality helmet so they could put themselves in the shoes of a data thief. These exchanges are just as useful at work as they are at home!
The operational hygiene team provided information on the correct use of antibiotics, the flu vaccination campaign and, of course, hand hygiene techniques using the famous "cuckoo box". A short quiz was also available to remind participants of good practice.
Finally, posters were displayed in the hall on all aspects of quality and care safety.
Thank you for coming and taking part in these awareness-raising events!
