A look back at the conference on combating violence against women held on 04 November.
Following a training course, Dr Vanina CHAREYRE realised that "3 to 4 out of every 10 women in her waiting room are victims of domestic or sexual violence, but not only that", and decided "that she could no longer let her patients leave her practice without offering them help". Dr CHAREYRE, who is involved with the NGO "Gynécologie Sans Frontières" (GSF), was responsible for organising this awareness-raising day in Aubagne, a town that has set up numerous initiatives in this field .
The conference brought together local players working on the issue of violence against women.
Dr Violaine GUBLER, a child psychiatrist at the school, was also present to talk about the psychological impact on victims of violence and their children.
We would like to thank Dr CHAREYRE and the town of Aubagne for this initiative, as well as the speakers for this informative day!
