5 steps to take to protect yourself against gastroenteritis
Step 1: Wash your hands
- Before preparing food / eating
- After using the toilet
- After contact with a sick person
- After contact with objects in a contaminated environment
Step 2 Air every room in your home forten minutes a day .
Step 3 Protect yourself on public transport Cover your mouth with a scarf or paper handkerchief if the person in front of you is ill. Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth.
Tip no. 4 Eat a balanced diet and keep well hydrated to boost your immune system.
Step 5 Clean high-risk surfaces such as toiletsmore often , at least twice a day.
