A look back at the united world day against obesity

For the first time, La Casamance took action to mark World Obesity Day. The establishment's users and staff were able to visit our information stand to talk to the teams and use the impedance meter, which measures body fat. More than 40 people took part in the experiment.

During the day, visceral surgeon Dr Leyre performed his 32nd gastric bypass operation since 2019. For the occasion, we followed the journey of a patient who was able to benefit from this Y-shaped loop operation using the Da Vinci robot; used for people suffering from obesity under an accelerated rehabilitation after surgery (RAAC) protocol.
