This week, we introduce you to Marion, a sterilisation officer who has been working at our hospital for 15 years.

Marion worked at the hospital as a hospital orderly for 5 years before joining the sterilisation teams.

Marion and her colleagues ensure that all the equipment needed for surgical procedures is perfectly operational, washed, sterilised and packaged.

Her work is essential to the smooth running of each operation. We work for the patient," she says, "and our aim is to ensure that patients can come in with peace of mind.

Marion particularly appreciates the opportunity she has to learn about the functions of each instrument: " We have the advantage of being able to understand the usefulness of each instrument we handle, as we sometimes attend surgical operations.
