As part of the redevelopment of the interventional cardiology technical platform, the hospital has opted for an additional investment to modernise the production of air-conditioning water, using efficient and economical systems. Eventually, this will make it possible to produce chilled water for the entire establishment and recover heat for the needs of the technical platforms.
The consumption of this very high performance installation will produce 8 KW (heating and cooling) for an electricity consumption of 1 KW.
The total weight installed on the roof is around 60 tonnes.
On 29 January 2014, an operation to install machinery on the roof of the building required part of the employee car park to be closed off in order to install a crane and allow 3 delivery semi-trailers to move around. The day's weather made the operation hazardous, but it was still carried out during the day.
