With 42,000 new cases in 2012 and over 17,500 deaths, colorectal cancer remains the 3rd most common cancer in France and the 2nd most deadly. However, if diagnosed at an early stage, it can be cured in 90% of cases. The fight against this cancer is therefore a major public health issue, and it is vital that we continue to take action.
The risk of developing colorectal cancer is not the same for everyone. GPs play an essential role in guiding patients, depending on their level of risk.
