Opening of a birthing centre

Experimental birth centre set up at Hôpital Privé La Casamance Aubagne

The birth centre opened its doors at theHôpital Privé La Casamance at the beginning of December. Mothers-to-be who so wish can give birth as if they were at home, while benefiting, if need be, from the technical facilities of a maternity unit.

" La Casa de naissance " is a unit born of the desire of a group of independent midwives to support couples at every stage of motherhood and to encourage the natural processes of childbirth.

It is a place for monitoring and giving birth to women whose pregnancy, delivery and post-natal care are physiological, i.e. without any suspected or proven risk of complications.

There are two dedicated rooms in the maternity unit: a consultation room and a birth room designed to meet the needs of a natural birth.
