Presentation of the SOFT programme, Surpoids Objectif Forme Training

Since the beginning of February, Hôpital Privé La Casamance has been offering a new programme aimed at people who are overweight, suffer from eating disorders and/or are not eligible for bariatric surgery or do not wish to undergo such an operation.

The S.O.F.T. (Surpoids Objectif Forme Training) programme is run by a multi-disciplinary team (psycho-nutritionist pharmacist, physiotherapist, adapted physical activity teacher, psychiatrist and addictologist specialising in the treatment of eating disorders). It consists of various individual and group sessions designed to work on the psychological and physical aspects of overweight and to find solutions.

" You will learn to eat differently, taking into account the quality of food and not just its calorific value. You'll learn to better manage your stress, your emotions, your relationships with others and your compulsive eating habits. You'll come to terms with your body and its capacities, while respecting your physical and mental needs.
