A leg of the colon tour®
Friday 11 March 2016 from 9.00 am to 6.00 pm
Cours Voltaire, AUBAGNE
With 42,000 new cases every year, colorectal cancer kills 17,000 people every year.
Yet colorectal cancer detected at an early stage can be cured 9 times out of 10.
The screening programme offered to people aged 50 to 74 reduces mortality from colorectal cancer. It enables polyps and cancers to be detected at an early stage, thereby increasing the chances of a cure.
The Hôpital Privé La Casamance in Aubagne, with all its partners, is taking part in the colon tour® to raise awareness of the importance of colon cancer screening.
Colon tour®: at the heart of a giant colon
A fun, educational approach to screening
Take a trip inside a giant colon and find out how different lesions develop.
Doctors will be on hand to explain the importance of screening, provide information on risk factors and prevention, and present the new, simpler and more effective colorectal cancer screening test.
