Cardiology

A true centre of excellence from the outset, Cardiology is organised around a cardiology and interventional cardiology technical platform:

• Stress tests, cardiac scintigraphy, cardiac and stress echography, explorations, etc.
• Two digital angiography rooms (coronography) and a rhythmology room,
• Three inpatient departments: cardiac intensive care, continuous monitoring, cardiological medicine.

If required, inpatient or outpatient follow-up and rehabilitation care with a gym and balneotherapy facilities.

Inpatient units

These units provide scheduled or emergency hospitalisation for patients requiring cardiovascular treatment.

Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (USIC)

The Cardiac Intensive Care Unit is located on the^1st floor of the main building. The unit has 8 beds for 2 nurses under the coordination of a cardiologist on duty 24 hours a day.

A multidisciplinary team provides care for patients requiring continuous cardiovascular monitoring and access to a specific technical platform (interventional radiology).

Organisational constraints :

- visiting hours: from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm

- Only 1 visitor at a time for each patient

Continuous Monitoring Unit (USC)

The Continuous Monitoring Unit is located in the main building and is intended for patients discharged from the Cardiology Intensive Care Unit. It has 10 cardiology beds for 2 nurses and 12 multi-purpose beds where patients are admitted after an acute episode.

They are monitored by a centralised telemonitoring system in an infirmary, and treatment is adapted under the coordination of a cardiologist on duty 24 hours a day.

Cardiology medicine

The cardiology department is located on the^1st floor of the main building. Patients are admitted for scheduled hospitalisation and cardiovascular investigations. The department has 20 beds. Cardiologists are present 24 hours a day, accompanied by a multidisciplinary team.

Cardiology department

Follow-up and rehabilitation care

Cardiac rehabilitation is organised around inpatient and outpatient services. The rehabilitation department has more than 84 beds and welcomes patients undergoing cardiac, functional and polyvalent rehabilitation.

A cardiologist specialising in cardiac rehabilitation and a rehabilitation doctor take care of patients, accompanied by a multidisciplinary team.

Follow-up and rehabilitation care

Cardiovascular risk factors:

• Smoking: between the ages of 30 and 70, 4 out of 10 cardiovascular deaths are due to smoking.
• Hypertension: blood pressure that is too high.
• diabetes
• Excess cholesterol
• Obesity and overweight
• A sedentary lifestyle
• Alcohol consumption.
