EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT
The Emergency Department is located on the ground floor of the hospital, supported by the largest technical facilities in the region, including an operating theatre, coronary angiography tables, a radiology department, a scanner, an MRI, an adult intensive care unit and a cardiology intensive care unit.
The Emergency Department is responsible for the reception, care and referral of all patients presenting with a medical or surgical emergency, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
The emergency department receives patients who present themselves spontaneously at the emergency entrance, as well as patients transported and referred by the marine and fire brigades and by the emergency medical service (SAMU).
The emergency team has a geriatric emergency nurse who is qualified to deal with patients aged over 75.
The hospital's extensive, modern technical facilities ensure that patients admitted to emergency are treated with the utmost safety.
Patients with the most complex and serious pathologies can therefore be cared for within the hospital without the need for a secondary transfer to another hospital.
Depending on the seriousness of your condition, you will either be cared for immediately by the medical and paramedical teams in a specialised cubicle, or you will be directed to the waiting area until a cubicle becomes available to examine you.
